I am pleased to announce that Three Amigos skateshop is now open. We are located at 118 Camden Road, just down the hill from the skatepark. Owners,and resident lurkers, are 'Camo' Pete Makarski, Kev 'the plasterer' McKeon and Francois 'dirty south' Nordmann. With a combined history within skating stretching back to the last ice age, we should be able to answer all questions including;
"what abec are these wheels"
"do you have any free stuff"
"how do you do a kickflip"etc......
Questions aside,we are open 7 days a week 12-6pm unless we are skating. Feel free to come by and have the piss taken out of you whilst being relieved of all your cash.
So far we will have a best trick comp down the flat bank, over the big hip in the street course, a bowl jam as well as a game of S.K.A.T.E.
Camden have gone ahead and organised a party for the whole of Cantelowes Park, and left us to run the skatepark!
It's from 1-6pm Saturday 27th September with the main thing between 2-5pm.
Activities happening on the day: BMXer Shanaze Reade (from the Olympics) opening the event, cycling time trials, archery, music and, in Camden's words, "Cantelocals will take charge of a competition for skateboards and BMX, to run the tricks with a bit of music & MCing from main stage in sports pitch"!!!
Matt & Perry will be hosting the mic, music and competition, so all we need is you Cantelocals and anyone else you know to come down and have fun! If anyone can get any prizes, spread the word, or get a load of people down to skate and BMX, that would be great.
Thanks for yoshi who knocked up the flyer – everyone please send it around!
An exhibition to raise money for kids in Iraq who have been put through two wars.
Cantelocals Sam, Ben Wilson, PIC and Ruination will be exhibiting incuding many others. If you'd like to get involved visit http://thethawcharity.blogspot.com/
